Piano Practice Beads

Here are practice beads that I made as examples to share with students at our Performance Class & Pizza Party this weekend. The piano charm (bottom strand), I made using polymer clay with the help and inspiration of a tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9I2p7bDbfQA. Using practice beads is a fun way for students to conquer challenging spots within a piece. They isolate the section and practice it 10 times (or more). Each time it is done correctly, the student slides a bead to the right, giving themselves a point. Any time that they miss, they have to deduct a point......sliding the bead back to the left. The process is continued until the student has reached 10 points --successfully moving all 10 of the beads.
