Raw Cauliflower Popcorn


1 Head Organic Cauliflower
Nutritional Yeast
Organic Olive Oil
Himalayan Sea Salt  
Pepper (optional for spicy taste)


Rinse cauliflower and cut florets into small bites like popcorn. *Note to self:  I got a bit too happy with cutting the bits small.  Make them a little bigger, because they shrink dramatically when being dehydrated.  Put it in a large bowl or Ziploc bag.  Add nutritional yeast, sea salt (seasoned to taste), and pepper if you like spicy food.  Stir or toss ingredients until pieces are well coated.  If using a Ziploc bag, seal it all shut and shake.  Dehydrate for 10-12 hours.

The recipe does not taste like popcorn as we know it.  I find that a taste has to be cultivated for some of the raw vegan recipes.  It is fun, however, experimenting....and this particular recipe will be a nice, healthy treat for me when I'm feeling the munchies!  Here is my favorite video for preparing it:   Raw Food Muscle.  Love his sense of humor, and he is so down-to-earth with all of his videos.
