A Night On The Town

I have the most amazing (((((piano instructor and friend!)))))  Her name is Linda Shevitz (photo above playing the piano), and she has been an added blessing to my life.  Not only does she excel in her skills as a teacher.....she reaches and encourages her students from within, passing on her own life experiences.  This is not just about a piano lesson.  It is about working with "you" ...... in mind, body and spirit as a whole.  Her enthusiasm with teaching shows that she loves what she does, and she cares deeply about her students.

Linda invited me to join a function featuring her and one of her voice students at the Pinnacle Club, located downtown in Augusta.  It was a pure delight being there!  The atmosphere among the guests was warm, and at the same time, the depth and beauty of the performances gave me chills! *smile*  I could literally feel goosebumps as I listened.  For some of the pieces, Dr. Shevitz gave us background history, which aided in  insight and a deeper appreciation for the piece.  The program was as follows:  (Links to Youtube sample videos of these songs included.  Hope that you enjoy!)
